Po'ipu Beach Travel Guide
Welcome to Po'ipu Beach!
Clear waters and a sandy shoreline are waiting to be explored and enjoyed at Po'ipu Beach in Hawaii. The city is located on Kauai, the Garden Island, which is filled with tropical rainforests and amazing gardens, such as the Allerton National Tropical Botanical Garden. The waters at Po'ipu are usually calm enough for swimming and snorkeling. Several other beaches, including Mahaulepu and Shipwreck's, are close by and provide beautiful scenery. Off the shore, scuba divers can swim amidst a colorful world of coral and fish. Surfing is another popular past time, with several local companies, including Nukomoi Surf Co. and Surf Lesson by Margo Oberg, providing surfing lessons. Minutes from Po'ipu is the historic town of Koloa, which features many unique shops and restaurants. Evening luaus, like that of Drums of Paradise, are held several evenings a week, giving visitors a taste of the rich Hawaiian culture.
